A couple years ago, Kevin was put into a situation that changed the lives of everyone around him. Without fear for what might happen to himself, he chose to do what has been instilled in us from day one in the Armed Forces of the United States. He chose to do what all of us SHOULD do in a situation like that. He chose to protect his Brother. On the day Terry Ballou Gibbs was murdered, Kevin made an attempt to save Ballou's life. Kevin's actions embodied the NC State creed - "Esse Quam Videri" to be rather than to seem. His reward for such as act, he will spend 3 years in prison. Throughout the trial process, Kevin endured more in his personal life than most men could handle, but never hesitated to be there for the people he loved. He was facing 40 years, but fought right up to the end for his Liberty. Just before the verdict was read, Kevin decided that the fastest way to come back to us was to accept a deal that would put him away for 3 years. Kevin will return after a few years to resume his life. This website is one way of showing him our love and support as well as helping the many people that love him to support him as well.
